We caught up with 3L students Alyson Englander, 蒂莫西·伦道夫 and Trevor Cunningham to hear how they’re navigating their final year — virtually.

英国人: While I’m not currently clerking, I have worked for the Missouri Attorney General’s office, as well as several firms during law school.
伦道夫: I worked in the Johnson County Prosecutor’s office for about five to six years before I decided to stop working and focus on finishing school.

伦道夫: My mentality, initially, was “it’s not much different because we’re sitting in class like we normally do,” but the tough part was peer interaction. 现在，当你离开时，你必须在课后追着同学汇报情况。 你可以从同伴那里获得能量，并且能够当场建立学习小组。 There’s nothing personable about your laptop.

What’s next for you after law school?

英国人: 我希望从事公共服务的实践，但我更希望从事移民法方面的工作。
伦道夫: I haven’t quite ironed out exactly what I want to do after graduation. My initial plan was to work as a prosecutor and become a JAG (Judge Advocate General) officer with the Kansas Army National Guard, however I’ve recently found an interest in business law and business development. 我喜欢在该地区为一些小企业担任内部法律顾问的想法，也可以帮助那些可能想要寻求私募股权投资的初创企业。 I’ve grown to love tax law and I’ve slightly considered possibly pursuing a LL.M. in Taxation.
