A multi-media art exhibit, “created to ignite important conversations around mental health” according to the artist, will be on display at the 威尼斯人娱乐城 Oct. 19 through Nov. 30.
“做我自己的艺术,” created by Springfield-based artist Randy Bacon, incorporates video, still photography and text. 该系列展示了20多名有精神健康状况或诊断经历的人的个人故事。 它包括鼓舞人心的肖像艺术作品，个人书面故事和一系列关注各种行为健康挑战的短片。 The exhibit is sponsored by the 伯勒尔基金会.

During the exhibit’s stay on campus, Bacon hopes to incorporate the mental health journey of a member of the 威尼斯人娱乐城 campus community into the project.
“做我自己的艺术 is an extraordinary project created to ignite important conversations around mental health, and to amplify the human experience as we traverse it both individually and collectively,” Bacon writes. “We are never alone, and this is a conversation that must be normalized and talked about in all spaces with total transparency.”
The exhibit is being brought to 威尼斯人娱乐城 by the Department of External Relations and Constituent Engagement as part of the department’s extensive 参与月 programming.
