政策声明
- 学生应该按照课程模式（以课堂为基础，在通路上提供在线等）参加和参与课程。
- 为了遵守与联邦财政援助资格规则相关的联邦法规，在学期的前三周未参加课程的学生将被行政上从特定课程中除名。
- 学术单位和个别导师的出勤政策应提前通知，并以书面形式通知。
- 如有可能，学生应提前通知导师请假。
- Students who have an excused absence are expected to make arrangements with instructors for alternative or make‐up work. 这种安排应尽可能在缺席之前作出。
- 教师应在不不合理地干扰课程学习目标或不适当地加重教师负担的情况下，为学生的请假提供便利。
- Attendance policies shall be applied in a non‐discriminatory manner.
- Enrollment as a student is required to attend any class unless otherwise pre‐approved by the instructor.

如果学术单位和讲师都没有采取出勤政策，或者如果没有适当的提前通知出勤政策，则以威尼斯人娱乐城一般出勤政策为准。 一般出勤政策是学生不因请假而被扣分。 “Excused absences” include absences due to illness of the student, illness of an immediate family member for whom the student must care, death of an immediate family member, representation of 威尼斯人娱乐城 in an official capacity, and other compelling circumstances beyond the student’s control. 旷课学生必须根据要求提供证明其旷课理由的文件。 Students with excused absences shall undertake appropriate make‐up or alternative work to be provided by instructors of the courses in which excused absences were incurred.
Complaints concerning the application of an attendance policy or an instructor’s attendance policy should be raised with the department chair of the instructor or with the dean if there is no department chair or the instructor is the department chair. 如果学生或教师对投诉的解决不满意，可以向院长和教务处提出上诉。 有关学术单位采用或修改出勤政策的投诉，应向教务处提出。 投诉应在每一级审查中迅速得到处理。
