政策声明
A number of 威尼斯人娱乐城’s academic programs 和 units seek specialized accreditation, also known as programmatic accreditation. 专业认证为大学内的课程或单位满足特定的专业或学科质量标准提供验证。 The specialized accreditation process typically involves providing evidence that the program or unit meets those st和ards 和 a peer‐review process to verify the st和ards are met. 认证的授予表明该项目或单位成功地为学生在该领域的发展做好了准备。 The 教务长办公室 maintains a 专业认证目录 held by 威尼斯人娱乐城’s academic programs 和 units.
专业认证的授予不仅反映了被认证项目或单位的质量，也反映了该机构的整体质量。 In order to ensure that the information contained in the self‐study report 和 associated documents accurately represents the university as a whole, as well as its specific programs or units, the
- self‐study reports 和 supporting documentation must use data that is provided 和 validated by from Institutional 研究, Administration 和 Finance, Faculty Affairs/Human Resources 和 the Office of Assessment;
- individuals preparing self‐study reports 和 supporting documentation must work closely with staff in the 教务长办公室 during the drafting of the reports 和 documentation;
- the draft self‐study must be submitted to the provost for review at least 45 days prior to the deadline for submission to the accrediting body. The self‐study report must be approved by the provost before it is submitted to the accrediting body. Some self‐study reports or other documents for specialized accreditation require the chancellor’s signature. In such cases, the self‐study reports 和 associated documents must be reviewed 和 approved by the provost prior to submission for the chancellor’s signature; 和
- further, the 教务长办公室 maintains 威尼斯人娱乐城’s files of official documents 和 reports related to institutional 和 specialized accreditation. Copies of accreditation documents issued by the university 和 any of its programs or academic units, as well as those received from accrediting agencies, such as self‐study reports, interim or annual reports, peer‐review team reports, notification of accreditation status 和 related correspondence, must be submitted to the 教务长办公室 for inclusion in the official archives 和 accreditation files.
