政策声明
大学可授予死后获得的本科、研究生和专业学位。 如果学术单位确定已故学生当时在学术上符合资格，并且完成了足够的课程以获得学位，则该单位可以建议授予死后学位。
完成所有学位要求的学生
学生正在攻读的学位的文凭将以与学生毕业相同的方式准备。 本毕业证书可于特别典礼、毕业典礼或任何认为适当的方式颁发予死者家属
学生尚未完成学位要求
If the student had not completed degree requirements but was making satisfactory progress at the time of death, a dean’s certificate honoring the student may be provided by the appropriate academic unit(s). 这些证书可根据具体情况设计和提供

学术单位如认定已故学生已完成足够的课程，可获颁授学位，应按下列步骤办理：
- The academic unit should fill out a 毕业例外申请表格.
- 死亡证明书应透过公共档案取得。
- 申请例外的原因和部门的详细理由。
- 由部门或分部主席提出的行动建议。
- 由适当的院长或项目主管提出行动建议。
- Recommendation for action by the 教务长’s Office.
The academic unit dean will review the petition and related documentation and render a decision, which will be communicated in writing to the 教务长’s Office and the registrar. 学位或证书将在本学期颁发。
